Bmax Specimen
Bmax is the baseline standard expected to yield the highest possible response. In competitive binding assays, Bmax is a 0 concentration standard. In sandwich assays, Bmax is the maximum baseline standard. If a Bmax baseline standard is assayed, the raw responses will be normalized to it. For qualitative data reduction, the Bmax can be the positive control.
